I was so excited when baby Kaitlyn's Mom first reached out to me about booking a newborn session and mentioned that the nursery was going to be Harry Potter themed. She really wanted to incorporate that into some of the images and I was happy to accept the challenge. Little did she know, when I get an idea in my head there's very little that can stop me from making it a reality! 😉 It began with the hand-painted Hogwarts design I found from one of my favorite backdrop companies and grew from there! #harrypotternewbornportraits
I also found the glasses and scarf made specifically sized to fit a newborn and the small Hedwig to complete the look. A sorting hat from Mom, Harry Potter swaddle, and wand completed the look. I'm not sure who was more excited for this set - Mom or my inner book nerd! lol.
As fun as the Harry Potter images were, however, it was important to have nice mix between those setups and traditional newborn portraits so we incorporated many dainty, floral touches as well for this sweet girl's gallery.
Kaitlyn was a little dream baby for her newborn portraits and barely made a peep throughout all of the different setups. I almost didn't want to give her back but her Mommy and Daddy would miss her too much so I'll settle for all the cuddles I get between poses! 😂
I will never cease to be amazed by my job. To know that this child was hoped for and prayed for long before she ever came to be is such a poignant thought. I handle living, breathing miracles every day. Not only that, but parents place their brand new baby in my hands and trust me to capture the memories they will cherish for years to come. That is not something I will ever take for granted and I am so honored you chose me!
