Teagan | 13 Days New - Simpsonville, SC Newborn Session

This session was especially fun for me to do because this little angel is my sister's other sister's baby. (That's a mouthful! lol. My sister has a brother and sister from her Dad remarrying and a brother and sister from our Mom remarrying so it can get confusing. 😂) We're all connected at this point which is all that really matters. 😊 I was so excited to work with baby Teagan and capture some beautiful images for her Mommy and Daddy. She slept like a dream THE.ENTIRE.TIME. I wanted to keep her! lol. 😍😂

*Anyone familiar with newborn photography knows that despite following a prep guide and doing everything you can to have baby sleepy for pictures - that doesn't always happen. Sometimes they want to be awake and let you know who's boss. I've had a couple of those in 2019 so Teagan was a nice treat since she did so, so well in every setup.

I always begin with prop shots if baby is nice and sleepy, and this little one settled right into the bucket poses. I love when parents give me free reign to be creative and for those who know me, purple is my favorite color! I just got this backdrop in and it went so well with my lavender bucket!

Side note - this is one of my FAVORITE bonnets. I love the color and the velvet ties!

And because she was SO sleepy & content, I decided to use my wheelbarrow and pram as well because why not? 😂 As far as I'm concerned, there is nothing as precious than a brand new baby posed in something miniature. lol. Mini car, mini bed, mini wheelbarrow...forget about it! All the heart eyes. 😍

I recently fell in love with these watercolor print backdrops from a vendor overseas and after seeing how beautifully they photograph, I kind of want to buy them all. 😂 The froggy pose is one of my absolute favorites because of how well it shows off all of baby's tiny features. It's also the parent favorite 90% of the time.

Something unique I like to offer all of my newborn clients are fine art pieces such as the butterfly and seashell designs shown below. I love the touch of whimsy it can bring to a gallery and parents are always blown away by these images since they don't see the finished product until after the session once I've worked my editing magic. The possibilities are truly limitless on what I can create and I love styling them based on nursery theme or other special requests from parents. 💜

I can't seem to stop bragging on this little girl, but I got through all of these poses with Teagan below in less than an hour. That might be a new record for me! I can't seem to pick a favorite or at the very least, it changes daily. I don't know how her Mommy and Daddy will ever choose theirs. lol.

So much sweetness in such a tiny bundle of joy! 💗 I cannot say it enough - I love what I do! It is a privilege to capture new life and I will never take for granted the trust that parents place in me when they choose me to capture this special time in their lives.
